Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of DuesBox. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for the users you invite into your organization.

2. Acceptable use

  • Do not use DuesBox to send unsolicited bulk email or to collect payments fraudulently.
  • Do not upload member data you do not have the right to process.
  • Do not attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the service or other organizations' data.
  • Do not resell or white-label DuesBox without a written agreement with us.

3. Plans, billing, and trials

  • Free plan. Available indefinitely with manual payment tracking. No card required.
  • Pro plan. Billed monthly in advance at the price shown at checkout. Automated dues collection and renewal automation are included.
  • Trial. New signups may receive a 14-day Pro trial. If you do not upgrade, your organization moves to the Free plan — your data stays intact.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not prorate or refund partial months unless required by law.
  • Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of your plan.

4. Payments to your organization

Dues collected from your members are processed by our third-party payment provider and settled to your connected account under that provider's terms. DuesBox is not a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor, and does not hold your funds. You are responsible for the accuracy of the amounts you charge, for applicable taxes, and for refunds or disputes with your members.

5. Your data

Your organization owns the member records and content it uploads. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you. You can export your data at any time. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages, and events beyond our control may cause downtime. Support is provided by email during business days.

7. Termination

You may stop using DuesBox and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, creates legal or security risk, or has an unpaid balance, with notice where practical.

8. Disclaimers

DuesBox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice; the templates and reminders in the product are not a substitute for professional advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DuesBox is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [state/jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there.
