Questions people ask
- Can we bill businesses rather than individuals?
- Yes. A member record holds the business name and the contact person who actually pays, so invoices and reminders reach the person with the card while the membership stays attached to the business.
- We have tiered investment levels. Does that work?
- Yes. Create a plan for each level — say Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Presenting — with its own annual price. Moving a member up a level takes one change and their next renewal bills at the new rate.
- Does DuesBox handle event ticketing or a member directory?
- Event ticketing is included — your chamber can publish events with online sign-ups and ticket sales on its own branded site, on your own domain. A full searchable member directory is not part of DuesBox today; chambers that rely on a public directory usually keep that on a separate tool and use DuesBox for dues, events, and the money side.
- How much of our dues does DuesBox keep?
- None of your dues leave your account — your chamber connects its own payout account and dues settle there. On the Free plan, the member business paying online covers a 5% service fee at checkout, which is what keeps that plan free. On Pro ($29/month) there is no member-facing fee and the chamber simply absorbs its card processor's standard rate. Agency is $79/month for multiple organizations and admins. Nothing is priced per member.
- Can member businesses have their own logins?
- Yes, optionally. Paying a dues link needs no login at all, but a member contact can create an account on your chamber's branded site to see their payment history, download receipts, and manage event registrations.
- What if a member business wants to be invoiced and pay by check?
- That's fully supported on every plan, including Free, with no service fee on manually recorded payments. Your payment instructions appear on each member's dues page, and you record the check when it arrives. The renewal date advances automatically.
